Who I am

This website is run by Alex, trading as Let There Be Sites. I’m responsible for the personal information you give me. You can contact me on WhatsApp at 089 601 3554.

What I collect

If you use the quote form, I receive the name, email address and message you type. The form doesn’t send anything to a server. When you press send, it opens WhatsApp with your message ready to go, and it only reaches me when you send it. If you message me on WhatsApp directly, I see your name, number and message.

How I use it

I use your details only to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and, if you hire me, to do the work and keep proper records. I don’t sell your information or use it for marketing you haven’t asked for.

Other companies involved

WhatsApp (Meta) carries your messages. This site is hosted by Netlify, which records technical details such as IP addresses when pages are loaded. The fonts load from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address. This site has no analytics and doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries for as long as I need to deal with them, and keep records the law requires, such as accounts for work I’ve done. Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted within 12 months.

Your rights

Under data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or object to how I use it. Contact me using the details above. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
